We were born in a very traditional way

Through the windmill to grind wheat, later to be sold as flour to the neighbouring population

We started a small plant

We produced several tons of wheat flours daily, which were distributed throughout the West and Alentejo regions of Portugal

We established Farinhas Firmos to expand the business

We built the new plant to increase production capacity up to 50 tons per day

New production growth

Daily capacity increased up to 80 tons. We expanded the business in the bakery and pastry markets

ISO 9001

We obtained the first certification in Quality Management Systems, recognized by SGS - Société Générale de Surveillance SA. Production capacity increased up to 160 tons per day

New geographical expansion

We acquired more stores in strategic locations of the country in order to promptly meet the needs of local markets. We expanded the supply of our flours to the Northern and the Algarve regions of Portugal

We incorporated a more technologically advanced system for milling. Production capacity increased up to 300 tons per day

We developed the procedures for the implementation of a food safety management system in the entire production system, according to the ISO 22000 International Standard

In July, we obtained certification according to the ISO 22000:2018 standard. With this certification, we reinforce our commitment to produce with quality, guaranteeing the food safety of our products.
